To fill this water bottle you must have a solid surface to seal up the bottle. Simply remove the exterior container and press the interior filter container down and close the lid. I recommend watching the video to make sure you are ok with the design.
In my opinion, my health is worth the extra work to filter the water and I love that you can filter water from a river or the tap!
Although the bottle is BPA plastic-free, the robust filter removes microplastics, as well as other illness-inducing chemicals that nobody should be ingesting. This company also has a titanium bottle that has a higher price point, but these filters can last up to 3 years, so if you compare that to the price of buying contaminated single-use water bottles or future health problems from the chemical body burden you might find it a worthwhile investment.
