This system is for regular municipal (not well) tap water. Check out the EWG.org tap water database to see which contaminants are in your local tap water and then make sure your filter removes them if that’s important to you. I couldn’t find an under sink filter that removed all of my city’s chlorination by-product chemicals that are linked to cancer, so I opted for this large Epic water filter container instead. Epic filters have cutting-edge technology that filters contaminants that other filters don’t (such as PFAS, microplastics and chlorine byproducts). If you want to dive deep on the murky topic of tap water, check out my blog article here.
